Cave Creek – 33rd Annual Cave Creek Fiesta Days. Cave Creek Memorial Arena and various locations in town. April 6th through 10th. Signature event is the rodeo, with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Other events include a parade and dance. Glendale – 28th Annual Glendale Jazz & Blues Festival. Murphy Park, Historic Downtown Glendale. April 9th through 10th. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Sedona – Earth Day/Birthday Celebration. Red Rock State Park. Celebrate the park’s 20th year. Indoor and outdoor activities. Live entertainment, guided hikes, nature talks and wildflower walks. Tempe – 25th Annual ASU Spring Competition Pow Wow. ASU Band Practice Field. April 21st through April 24th. Dancing in 23 categories. Arts & crafts. Payson – 18th Beeline Cruise-In and Car Show. Green Valley Park. April 29th through 30th. The car show is open to all participants. Registration for the show begins Friday. Prescott – Prescott Fine Art & Wine Festival. Historic Courthouse Plaza, Downtown Prescott. May 7th through 8th. Juried art show with more than 140 artisans. Williams – National Train Day. Grand Canyon Railway Depot. May 7th through 8th. Event includes special locomotive tours, model train exhibits, entertainment and classic car show.
Highlights include the Cataract Creek Rambler, 45-minute train rides in open-window passenger coaches, pulled behind a 1923 Baldwin steam locomotive. Tickets for the train ride can be purchased on the day of the event and cost $15 for adults and $10 for children.
